The wines of Château Paquillon are the result of meticulous work and the richness of clay-limestone soils mixed with sand, typical of the Montagne Saint-Émilion appellation. Merlot remains the most prominent grape variety on the estate, offering round, generous, structured, and consistently well-balanced red wines.
Each vintage reveals its own character, with notes of dark fruits, sweet spices, and a full, silky mouthfeel. At Château Paquillon, elegance is favored over power, finesse over exuberance, all while preserving the natural generosity of the vine.
The estate carefully selects its grapes, applying gentle and precise vinification techniques, with aging methods tailored to each cuvée. Fermentations take place in either concrete or stainless steel tanks, depending on the plot, with relatively short maceration periods to retain the freshness of the fruit.
